2) Security Policy
2.1) The majority of hotels require your credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation. When you send your credit card information to BOOKINGS, it will be passed on to the hotel in which you want to make a booking. When you make a booking at the Lakbay Pilipinas website you automatically enter into an agreement with the hotel you have chosen. This agreement also implies that you adhere to the hotel's cancellation policy.
The majority of hotels do not withdraw money from your credit card at the time of the reservation. You will pay your hotel bill at the hotel, either on arrival or after your stay. A small number of hotels charge one room night to your credit card right after you have made a reservation. If this is the case, this will be clearly stated on the hotel page.
Payment by credit card will be made by using our secure online credit card information form.
2.2) When you fill in your personal and credit card information on the booking form and send the form to BOOKINGS, your information will be encrypted. Only Lakbay Pilipinas will be able to read your information. The encryption method used is the industry standard 'Secure Socket Layer' (SSL) technology.
3) Cancellation policy
3.1) Extension of stay: If, after your arrival, you wish to extend your stay at the same or different hotel, please contact our local office so that you are not charged the full hotel room rate, which might be substantially higher than the one you have received through our system.
3.2) Reduction of lenght of stay: If you need to shorten your stay, please inform the reservation desk at the hotel as well as the Lakbay Pilipinas Partner Hotels, and in most cases we will be able to reimburse your credit card for the remainder of your stay, minus a 5% processing fee of your total booking cost.
3.3) Cancellation policy: Every hotel has its own cancellation policy, and as a general rule, unless otherwise stated, the policy is that you may cancel your booking up to 14 days prior to arrival, with a 5% processing fee being applied.
For cancellations received less than 14 days prior to arrival, this will result in a 5% processing fee plus a possible one night cancellation fee, depending on the hotel's discretion.
