On-the-Spot Photo Contest "Lens Finds Market! Market!" Philippines photo contest


November 13-14, 2004 Location: Market! Market!, Fort Bonifacio Global City

Photo Subjects:
The Mall-the structures, architectural designs, stalls, people, specifically but no limited to the sights that define the character and environment of Market! Market!

Entries:
8x10 in. color or monochrome print on Kodak paper with corresponding negative. No desktop printouts allowed. Borders optional, not to exceed one inch on any side. Submit prints with the corresponding negative taped to the back of the print. All negatives will be returned.

Prizes:
Grand Prize ------ Php10,000.00 plus trophy
Second Prize ------ Php7,500.00 plus trophy
Third Prize ------- Php5,000.00 plus trophy
4th to 10nth Free admission to PhotoWorld Manila 2004 seminars plus medal each.

Registration:
Php250.00 for Kodak 36 exp. film plus processing and contact print.

Provision:
Alterations after exposure-digital, darkroom, painting, airbrushing, paste-on, or assembly are not allowed. Only normal darkroom techniques such as dodging, burning in, and cropping are allowed. Any creative effects must be done in camera at the time of exposure, such as multiple exposures, flash fill, light painting, filtration, etc.

Exposed Rolls: 10:00 a.m. of November 15,2004, at the FPPF office
Contact Prints: begin retrieving November 15,2004 at the FPPF main office in Makati
Entries: Submit to the FPPF office no later than 5:00 p.m of November 22,2004

Awarding:
November 24,2004 at Market! Market!

Winning Entries:
The top 30 entries (finalist) shall become the property of the organizers, with full rights to reproduce, exhibit or publish for promotional purposes. All negatives will be returned.

The organizers may, without paying financial compensation to the photographers, display the prints in public place or publish the prints for the purpose of promoting the FPPF, Photoworld Manila, Kodak or any by-product event or activity arising from the photo contest. Copyright of the photos shall remain wiht the photographers and proper acknowledgment of photographers shall be made in case photos are put on exhibit or printed.

Non-Winning Entries:
Non-winning prints may be retrieved from the FPPF office starting December 5,2004. Prints not claimed after March 15,2004, become the property of FPPF and will be disposed of in any way without prior notification.
