09 September 2003 Pfizer's Bonamine Launches Domestic Travel Advocacy Campaign
Wow Philippines is starting to achive its goal and we are beggining to win the fight against political dizziness! - Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon
Bonamine (Meclizine Hcl), one of the products of Pfizer's Comsumer Healthcare Division, launched Biyahe Tayo!, a domestic travel campaign aimed to support the Department of Tourism's Wow Philippines program, at the Clamshell in Intramuros last Sept 8,2003.
In his speach during the awarding ceremonies, DOT Secretary Richard Gordon lauded Bonamine for its initiative in encouraging Filipinos to travel in their own country. "DOT and the government cannot do it alone. We need the help of every filipino and of private companies like Pfizer as a revitalized tourism industry will help boost our economy and provide more jobs for our people," Gordon said.
Cooey La 'O, Regional Director for the Philippines and Greater China of Pfizer's Consumer Healthcare Division, thanked Sec. Gordon and the DOT for not only endorsing the Biyahe Tayo! program but for making it a vital and integral part of DOT's WOW PHILIPPINES program.
As outlined in a Memorandum of Agreement between DOT and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Division, The Biyahe Tayo! campagin's main elements include the production of TV commercials and Audio Visual materials for TV, and MTV featuring the country's top artists and tourist attractions, as well as print ads, posters, flyers and other collaterals.
Bonamine will also participate in major Philippie festivals such as the forthcoming feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia in Naga, Masskara in Bacolod and Sinulog festival in Cebu. In addition, It will undertake many exciting activities in partnership with travel-related companies.
