Tiger Airways to launch Daily Flights between Singapore and Kota Kinabalu; Cease Manila (Clark) – Macau Operations

Tiger Airways is to increase its flights to East Malaysia with the commencement of a daily flight service between Singapore and Kota Kinabalu from 1 March 2009.

With the new service, Tiger Airways will operate 14 flights a week between Singapore and East Malaysia, with a daily service to both Kota Kinabalu and Kuching – services between Singapore and Kuching start on 20 November 2008.

To celebrate the new route Tiger Airways is offering 8,000 seats on sale from just Sin$86.99 INCLUDING taxes and charges for travel from 1 March 2009 – 29 October 2009. (more…)

SEAIR reports increase in passenger load

SEAIR recorded 141,000 passengers flown in the first half of this year, an increase of 5,000 against the same period the previous year.

SEAIR is expecting a further boost in its passenger load with the planned implementation of a competitive online fare scheme. The scheme is expected to be in place once its state-of-the-art reservations systems are in place. SEAIR clients will soon be able to instantly view online the lowest available online fares and year-round promos.

SEAIR’s check-in time cut down to 35 minutes

SEAIR proudly announces another hassle free stance. Check in time is now cut to only 35 minutes before flight from the original 45 minutes. In this ways, passengers have more of their time’s worth.

To date, SEAIR has the shortest check-in time required in the country.

New SEAIR booking engine now online

SEAIR now offers 24-hour online booking where there are two simple sets of fares: the FlySaver, recommended to those who have definite travel dates, and the FlyFlex, for those who require travel schedule flexibility. The cheapest adult fare for each fare type will be displayed. Fares may change until they’re purchased.

Ticket purchase using Visa and Mastercard are accepted through SEAIR’s secure online payment facility. For group bookings online, it is required that at least one person from the group owns the credit card being used for the online purchase.

The airline also now accepts Visa and Master card payments by phone through its call center.

VIP Boracay transfers

South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) is now offering complimentary transfers to all its passengers bound for Boracay. VIP service will be given all SEAIR passengers by SEAIR transfer coordinators from the point of their arrival at Godofredo Ramos Airport (Caticlan airport) to their boat’s docking at the Cagban or Tambisaan Jetty Port in the island of Boracay.

At Caticlan Airport, SEAIR transfer coordinators will be on-hand to assist passengers in claiming their checked in luggage. After collecting all the boarding passes, passengers will be accompanied to a specially-marked SEAIR van to take them to the Caticlan Jetty Port. The land transfer is free of charge. (more…)
