There is the exploration of marine life by scuba/snorkel & reef walking on the small islands that surround Boracay. There are caves to explore, the long white beach to stroll on, not to mention the fun atv ride to the highest point of the island! But what loved about the place is the carefree attitude of the people there, where one’s goal is to have fun and not think about work, or time constraints. It might sound a bit strange but the pageant does help raise environmental awareness esp in this country (the Phils) where the biggest concern of the average Filipino is 3 meals a day. Hello! If anybody else out there is planning a trip make sure you use the travel meta-search site 1000travelsites.com to find the best prices on flights and hotels. They search pretty much every travel provider on the web in a matter of seconds. It's the best site for finding the lowest price (and it's free). I wouldn't have been able to afford this trip if I hadn't found such great deals from there. I just bought my tickets and I’ll be making it for this event!
