Mindanao's tourism potential has long been unnoticed by the country. There is so much hype on a conflict that occurs only in certain parts of Mindanao, but little attention has been given to the grandeur of Mindanao. The Philippines is so blessed to have Mindanao in its map, and our people should start to recognize this fact.

I've read about the potential tourism objects in Mindanao years ago when I was still a student of a tourism academy in Jakarta. I think it's about time to be more serious in making Mindanao as one of the main tourist destinations in Asia, after all it has everything.. natural sites, historical sites, you name it. I think an organization like ASEAN can be used to help each member country to manage their potential assets in tourism industry.
