Russian tour Executives to visit Boracay

There will be 60 Russian tour chief executive officers (CEOs) and directors who will visit Boracay Island next month with the intention of including the international destination in their marketing packages.

Department of Tourism (DOT) regional director Edwin Trompeta said that these Russian tour CEOs and directors and company owners decided to visit Boracay island after the successful hosting last May of the Meiers Weltreisen Fareast, which is also a group of German tour operators.

The Capital Tour Directors, which will visit Boracay Island and also Manila, Cebu and Bohol, is an international multi-profile tour company that has office in Moscow.

The mission of the Capital Tour Directors in its visit, is to generate awareness of an appreciation for the natural beauty, underwater diversity, excellent hospitality and world-class services of the Philippines.

Also, to catalyze an emotional impact of the country and its main travel destinations in order to push the sales of the Philippine destinations via Capital Tour’s network around Russia.

Director Trompeta said that the visit is expected to further boost the tourism arrival in Boracay Island just like what happened to Indonesia and in some other Asian countries that it promoted before.
