Ten teams. Eight hot summer destinations. One million pesos. As I write this, the race is on its second day and we are now inside a RoRo here in Leyte moving towards Camotes Island in Cebu.
Brains, brawn, and mettle are put to the ultimate test in the exciting Ready, Set, RORO! DBP Interisland Race 2009, with a P1M grand prize to sweeten the deal.

Team Island Hoppers
Best friends for fifteen years, Taj Almonte and Kix Lagria make up a team fueled by friendship. Joining forces with them is child star and commercial model Serena Dalrymple.
Team Beach Hotshots
Adventure runs in the blood of cousins Ira Dy and Jet Tan. Matching their enthusiasm is the sporty tv host and commercial model Reema Chanco
Team Fun Explorers
Surfer dudes JP and Aston Sarmiento love to travel and explore the Philippines. Teaming up with them is Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition housemate Nicole Uysiuseng.
Team Beach Squad
The uncle and nephew team of Tunat and Nat-nat Hildawa are happy, carefree, and in total sync, racing together with Viva Hot Babe Hazel Cabrera.
Team Summer Breezers
Friends and ex-cheerleaders Joei Calixto and Chal Lontoc-Del Rosario are in the mood for an exhilarating adventure. Equally psyched is their teammate TV actor Thou Reyes.
Team Surf Riders
Recently-engaged Joaqui Tupas and Jana Estrevillo want to win P1M for their dream wedding. Teen star teammate Rodjun Cruz plans to be their “ninong” at the wedding.
Team Heat Blasters
Sweethearts Jo Ignacio and Marf Marfori are former fatties who are in it to win it. TV/Movie actress Eda Nolan partners with them for the race.
Team Flip Flops
Adventure junkies and former athletes Dino Gilladoga and Ace Cu are best friends with a strong passion for environmental protection and preservation. Joining them is Pinoy Big Brother housemate Cass Ponti.
Team Wave Surfers
Lawyers Mike Gatchalian and Tine Naranjo are fun loving and adventurous. Dancer and actor Danilo Barrios teams up with the Cebuano couple.
Team Aquaholics
Running photographers Trisha Halili and Lea Aspe love to travel and run marathons. Bunking in with them is PBB Teen Edition Housemate Josef Elizalde
