Team Narra surges forth in Ready-Set-RORO! ; Team Sampaguita gets rolled off!

The race continues, even at sea, as the teams boarded the midnight ferry from the port in Tubigon, Bohol en route to Cebu City.

Tubigon is a coastal town in Bohol, about 2 ½ hours from Tagbilaran, accessible via the regular bus route. The Cebu-based Lite Shipping makes use of the RORO Terminal System, to ply the Tubigon-Cebu route 4 times a day, bringing passengers and goods such as livestock, produce, and construction supplies.

For this leg of the race, teams were released according to the order by which they finished the first leg, with two minute intervals in between each leg. Because of penalties due to unauthorized stops in between legs, a new starting lineup emerged, with Team Apo released first, followed by Team Narra and then Team Sampaguita. Teams Lapu-Lapu, Tamaraw, and Sikatuna were simultaneously released next; followed by Teams Agila and Kanlaon. Team Anahaw was next in line, with Team Mayon bringing up the rear.

Teams were tied together and given a puzzle to solve. Then they had to search the various parts of the ship for the marshall to hand them the next clue, which led them to the pit stop on the bridge area.

Team Narra, composed of CEOs Will Nocom and Super Perez with Ryza Cenon, clocked in first, proclaiming teamwork as the key to their success.

“We really work well as a team,” quips Ryza, celebrity member of Team Narra.
“Our game plan for now is to just have fun, and to keep up the team effort,” states Will, while Super interjects, ” No, our game plan is to be No. 1 all the way!”

Meanwhile, Team Sampaguita, with childhood friends Tine Grande and Kat Sanga and Mike Tan were last to hit the pit stop mat, and were thus rolled off from the race.
“It’s disappointing,” states Tine, “because we started this leg in 4th place. We just had a hard time with the puzzle.”

“It was a fun experience,” says Mike, “I just wish we were able to go on farther.”
“We wish the best of luck to our friends in Team Agila, Lapu-Lapu, Mayon, and Narra,” Kat finishes.
