Hello,

While Region 12 has a lot to offer in terms of nature and culture adventure, with the presence of Mt. Apo and the cultural groups of T'boli and the Maguindanaons, we are embarking on promoting industrial tourism in the region this year.

The numerous big industries related to tuna processing/ canning (Gensan being the tuna capital of the Philippines) and small unique industries like oil palm processing, muscovado processing, processed fruit processing, tinalak weaving, inaul weaving, brassware making, among many others, are what we intend to highlight.

We hope that this can be included in your upcoming travel mart. Also, may we know where we can avail of training assistance on tour guiding, etc., to enhance the capability of the identified industrial tourism destinations?

Thanks

Well, you can showcase the Philippines either as an adventure, exotic and industrial destination depending on where you plan to go. If you an into exotic destination, you can try going to Bohol because it is one of the lesser know yet great place to visit.

I read about the Philippines travel mart in the newspapers recently.

But, I still don't understand how they believe that they can showcase Philippines as an adventure destination.

It would make a lot more sense to showcase it as an exotic travel destination or an industrial travel destination.

Just my $0.02
