The celebration continues to surge with exciting events and festivities in this week’s Kadayawan Festival.
Today, August 20 (Wednesday), catch cultural and dance performances starting with the Sayaw Mindanaw preliminary presentation for out-of-town groups at the SM City Davao Event Centre at 10 AM to 7 PM.
Witness our indigenous tribes as they showcase their wares and produce at Lumadnong Bantawan featuring Tribung Klata at Rizal Park and Tribung Maranao at Peoples’ Park from 10 AM to 12 NN, and Tribung Tausug at Rizal Park and Tribung Klata at Peoples’ Park from 3 to 5 PM.
Watch Mindanawon artists compete at the finals of Tunog Mindanaw World Music Festival, 5 PM, at the NCCC Mall.
On August 21 (Thursday), Lumadnong Bantawan will feature Tribung Ata at Rizal Park from 10 AM to 12 NN and Tribung Ubo Manobo at Peoples’ Park from 10 AM to 12 NN, Tribung Ubo Manobo at Rizal Park and Tribung Maguindanao at Peoples’ Park from 3 to 5 PM, and Tribung Klata at Rizal Park and Tribug Ata at Peoples’ Park from 5 to 7 PM.

More engaging activities on August 22 (Friday) starting with the Davao River Festival Tubod sa Sinugdan (River Sports) at 8 AM along Davao River, followed by the Tugtogan Indigenous Music Festival from 10 AM to 12 NN at the Victoria Plaza Mall and 3 Pm at Peoples’ Park and Rizal Park, Davao River Festoval River Concert at 6 PM, Agro-Industrial Grounds, and the Sayaw Mindanaw Grand Finals at 7-9PM at the SM City Davao Event Centre.
August 23 (Saturday), witness the parade of music and dances with the Indak Indak sa Kadalanan (Street Performance) from 8 AM to 12 NN, from Roxas Avenue, C.M. Recto Ave., San Pedro Street to City Hall Drive, followed by the street dancing showdown of Davao-based groups, 2-4 PM at Rizal Park, and the showdown performance of out-of-town groups, 6-10 PM at Rizal Park.
