With the Philippines’ 7,107 islands, wanderlusts can choose from a wide variety of getaways this summer.
The more renowned tourist spots every summer continue to attract both local and foreign tourists and investors, offering a unique charm and endless possibilities.
Places such as Boracay, Puerto Galera, Palawan and Batangas have been consistently on the roadmap for tourists (especially the so-called “water babies”) but then there are still other places to explore.
Consistently on the list of best beaches in the world, Boracay has become an international tourist hub with lots of activities to do such as diving, island-hopping and the most popular-the nightlife.
Puerto Galera is like Boracay with the nightlife and long stretch of white sand but its nearness to Manila makes it a favorite among those who wanted a shorter trip.
Unlike Puerto Galera and Boracay, the province of Palawan, particularly the towns of El Nido, Coron and Busuanga, boast of their unspoiled surrounds and small crowds which makes it a haven for those who want peace and serenity.
Bohol in the Visayas is blessed with a rich history and natural beauty. It has numerous picturesque sites like the Chocolate Hills and the smallest primate -the tarsier.
Aside from these, other tourist spots known for beautiful beaches are now gaining ground.
Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, the so-called “Boracay of the North”, can rival Boracay’s white sand and Palawan’s unspoiled nature.
Though far, the 12-hour travel by bus to this place is worth it, what with the pristine beach and lagoons and waterfalls so breathtaking.
The country’s topmost province, the Batanes Group of Islands, are for those who seek adventure and serenity.
The wind swept islands are beautiful and enchanting, its landscape distinct from any other province in the country – boulder-lined shores, rolling hills, steep hills, deep canyons, among others.
One doesn’t have to go overseas to see beautiful scenic spots. They are right here in the Philippines. Bring along friends or loved ones to the country’s beautiful scenic spots this summer.
