Promotion of “Wow Davao” specials pushed

City Tourism Operations Office OIC Belinda Hementera urged tourism-related establishments based in Davao City to adopt the “Wow Davao Specials” tagline and logo in promoting their business establishments, products and services.

The “Wow Davao Specials” is a project initiated by the Davao Tourism Association (DATA), supported by the Tourism Council of Davao City wherein all licensed tourism-related establishments are encouraged to join.

The allied sector, such as the department stores will continue on with their Araw ng Davao Sale, while the restaurant and food outlets sector are encouraged to participate by coming up with featured drinks or desert.

The hotels and resorts are requested to come up with Wow Davao Room discount rates; while vehicle those in the Travel and Tours are also encouraged to come up with “Wow Davao Tours” – all of these promotions are in consonance with the 71st Araw ng Davao celebration, which is being chaired for the first time, by no less than Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The City Tourism Operations Office urged business establishments to unify their efforts by using the logo “Wow Davao Specials” and display it prominently in their respective establishments.

Hementera said that the tourism sector through the Tourism Council of Davao City will also participate as one contingent in the Parada Dabawenyo on March 16 from 8am to 12noon.

Business establishments are requested to commit at least five (5) personnel to join the parade.

Hementera said “let us unite and be one in showing our appreciation for the business and tourist-friendly atmosphere that we now enjoy under the leadership of Mayor Duterte.”
