There will be a comeback of twin events in Davao City namely the Davao Travel Show and the Building and Construction Show.

Patrick Lawrence Tan, chief executive officer of Global Link MP International, Inc. said the events will be held on February 29 to March 2, 2008 at the SM Event Center in Davao City.

He said the combined exhibits are expected to attract over 150 exhibitors representing a variety of products and services.

The 2nd Davao Travel Show he said intends to showcase all tourism products and services promoting Philippine tourism nationwide and to its neighboring countries.

The exhibit this year will offer special tour packages and services at discounted prices made available only during the Travel Show period.

“This will be an opportune time for would-be vacationers to shop for the ultimate package that would best suit their travel needs,” he said.

The Travel Show is timed during the BIMP EAGA Travel and Airlines Convergence Meeting on February 22-23, 2008 that will be attended by airlines and tour operators from Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area.

Meanwhile the Building and Construction Show boasts of its wide range of products not readily available in the local market. Exhibitors are expected to build their presence in the industry, demonstrate new technologies and generate substantial sales leads.

Tan said that the show last year attracted 5,773 highly selected trade buyers and decision0makers that resulted in the overwhelming response from the participating companies.

Tan said they are confident that their event this year will surpass the expectations of the exhibitors.
