It's a been a tough time for the whole world. Here in Thailand tourism took a big hit from the bad economy in the west, plus the protest at the airport. I realise this article is a few years old - just the optimism in the original story contrasts quite a bit with today's gloomy mood - here's hoping to better times soon. I am planning to buy a 27 seater toyota coaster or even a JAC from China. I do believe calicoan is several knots higher than what boracay can offer. And the white beach is three times longer. Add to this the caves, the lakes the forest and many more..... I just can’t wait to bring local tourist from Leyte to Calicoan, Guiuan……in the near future.
