What can General Santos City offer during the month of February?
The city can offer a lot of things to both domestic and foreign tourists, but let us specifically enumerate special features that the place can offer every February.
A festival called ‘Kalilangan’ which will bring a friendly co-existence of the people of General Santos City is one that is hard to miss.
During the festival, activities include agro-industrial trade fair, cultural presentations, drum and bugle competition, culinary art contest, “Kulintangan†ethnic musical instrument competition and “kadsagayan†street dancing. It also commemorates the city’s foundation anniversary.
How to get there by air, sea and land?
The city’s international airport can be reached direct from Manila, Cebu, Iloilo or via Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro and Davao through Mindanao-based flights.
Negros Navigation, Aboitiz Supeferry and Sulplicio Lines provide the route networking the city to Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Zamboanga and Davao while Indonesian shipping lines contribute their General Santos-Indonesian route for passenger and cargo traffic.
The city is accessible by land from any point Mindanao and the rest of the country.
