carabao island san jose romblonCarabao Island, part of San Jose town south of Romblon, is a 15-minute boat ride from the smaller island of Boracay. The island has the same white-sand beaches and pristine waters that can be found in Boracay. Surprisingly , A Korean real estate company invested in Carabao Island and they will start constructing the “Carabao Island International Airport” on July 2007. The said airport was expected to be bigger and better than the Boracay Airport. Carabao Island is now being eyed as the “Next Boracay.”

Yes, Carabao Island is a very nice and beautiful place! I know, ’cause I was born there…..But i dont agree that it’ll be the next boracay. You know, boracay is boracay… I know, ’cause I live there ever since I was a child! Please don’t compare this two beautiful islands, they are both beautiful and nice!

I am so curious about Carabao Island and I really want to see it for myself and for my family. I have read a lot about CI. The ex-pres. GMA mentioned CI twice in her 2 last SONAS and that she alloted P5-BILLION for the development of CI because CI, which is 4-times bigger than the already over-developed BORACAY, will be the alternative distination for those who can no longer be accommodated in Boracay.
