Yahoo! Travel announced their “hottest” top 10 beaches. Boracay ranked no. 6, following San Diego California, and coming before Key West Florida USA.
The Web site based its ratings on the ratings and reviews of its users. Boracay is the only Asian Paradise listed in the Yahoo’s Top Ten beaches in the world.

Been to many of the beaches on the list and hopefully can visit the other ones soon. Can’t beat a great beach.

Seems like Yahoo only listed the big-name beaches – none of the fun small ones found all over the world. I guess it keeps them a secret…
So many great places with amazing beaches. You will find that there are many cheap hotel options as well for accommodation in the Philippines or Hotels in Sydney but don’t forget the amazing beaches that you can find in Europe. Cheap hotels in Cyprus can be found as well as Crete hotels. There are lots of nice European spots as well, just make sure you go the right time of the year.
I have never been to Boracay before, but have been to Cancun in Mexico and if Boracay is even half as good, it will be a fantastic beach.
I also run a beach holiday website and have a list of the Top Ten Beaches in the World, at number 4 I have any beach on the Palawan islands. Can you tell me if Boracay is part of the Palawan group of islands? If not I will also add Boracay to the list as a separate entry as it looks fantastic.
Beach Holiday Guy, i have been to both Cancun and Boracay. The water and sands of Boracay is way better than cancun. Boracay is smaller since its an island and Cancun has better nightlife and hotels.
Boracay is not part of Palawan. If you enjoy nature better then Palawan particularly in El Nido area is miles ahead of both Boracay and Cancun. But the night life is pretty much dead and the area is not as developed as those two.
personally i like Palawan than Boracay and Cancun combined since im more into the outdoors than staying in a 5 star hotel.
It’s great to be here in Boracay that you can’t compare it to other beaches of the world. Boracay is not part of Palawan Islands but they are one of Visayas group of Island of the Philippines.
Boracay beach have a unique crystal clear water and a very white and fine sand ….Oh My God! It is really amazing!!!
