One of Australia’s leading car rental  companies, Europcar Asia Pacific, has announced a master franchise deal  with Infinity Rent-A-Car, which will see the company enter the Filipino  corporate and leisure car rental market.
The partnership will boost  Europcar’s substantial global network, with a fleet of initially 70 vehicles to  operate from five Metro Manila locations and Cebu City in  the Southern  Philippines.
This deal follows the recent  announcement of an agreement between Europcar Asia Pacific and Jetfleet for an  expansion into India’s corporate and leisure car  rental market.
Europcar Asia Pacific executive  director Douglas Hunt said the partnership will open the door for growth in the  Filipino self-drive market.
“Infinity Rent-A-Car was chosen to  represent us in the Philippines because they share our  commitment and they have a proven ability to grow the business from a very small  base in a relatively short amount of time,†he  said.
“There were many other candidates  but none had the passion for service like the management and staff at Infinity,  they are an extremely energetic and professional  company.
“This agreement enables Europcar to  further develop the self-drive market in the Philippines while also forging  agreements with local hotels and airline carriers that will allow us to  successfully tap into the outbound market.
“We believe due to the growth of  aviation in the Asian region and the increase in affordability of air travel  that our unique service proposition will be attractive to existing and first  time travellers.â€
Infinity, will operate Europcar Asia  Pacific’s Filipino franchise, and will offer a choice of luxury premium vehicles  with the provision of English-speaking, uniformed chauffers.
Europcar Asia Pacific was recently  recognised as the leading car hire company in Australasia in the World Travel Awards, with Paris-based  parent company Europcar, also receiving numerous awards including the world’s  leading leisure car rental company.
The Philippines franchise joins the worldwide  Europcar network, which includes a fleet of over 220,000 vehicles at 2,650  locations covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean, Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific.
